sūkshma-vishayatvam  cālinga-paryavasānam

The range of subtle objects of concentration ends only at the unmanifest.

As the experience of samādhi deepens, the meditative focus that leads us into the experience becomes increasingly subtle. (Instead of a candle flame, the focus might become vision, heat, or color.) These levels of subtlety end only at the unmanifest – where material reality is in its primal undifferentiated state. The spiral moves inward through the squares, becoming increasingly subtle, until eventually it is almost invisible.
