Non-attachment is when, through understanding and control, one has fully lost the thirst for any experiences or objects, whether seen or heard of.

Vairāgya, dispassion, or non-attachment, is the intentional waiver of desire to the point where desire ceases. We no longer crave any thing or experience – including the results of spiritual practice. Vairāgya and abhyāsa, practice, are the two key tools we use in Yoga. The word "vairāgya” also means clear, colorless.
