Or, samādhi is attained by devotion to īśvara (God).

This sūtra is the game-changer. We can reach liberation by working with vigor, integrity, and consistency, following all the steps outlined in previous sūtras, using the tools of abhyāsa and vairāgyā: practicing quieting our mind, and developing a dispassionate attitude. But the real fast-track to samādhi is to recognize that there is a Higher Power and to align unreservedly with it.
