Om expresses īśvara (God).

How do we realize īśvara (God)? Īśvara is invoked by sound – the sound of om. But not only is īśvara invoked by om, īśvara is om. The key to samādhi is Īśvara, and the key to the realization of īśvara is om. Just as īśvara is everything, everywhere, all the time, no exceptions, om is the beginning and the end and everything in between.
